My, my. It certainly has been a while since I even thought of this board, much less visited it, much less posted on it, and much less started a thread on it. I don't know what prompted me to put this address in IE and hit enter, but here I am, two and a half years since the last post, over three years since my last post, and about three and a half years since the last thread I started.
The oldest post I could find on this site was 5 and a half years ago. June of 2002. I know there were older ones than that though. www.pointlessjunk.com is now registered to a domain parking company and mustadio.com as well as its bastard child delita.com both point to marshall-joas.com . . . good stuff right there. But the content is still around:
home.wi.rr.com/pointlessjunk/junk/junk.htm
I just spent about an hour of my time at work looking over some old posts and having some good laughs at the conversations we had, being proud of some of the things I came up with, and being embarassed at some of the things I said. There was a time when this was quite an interesting board to read, but its success lured in all sorts of idiots, the good posters migrated to Xanga for a short time, but the discussion wasn't possible there, and we all witnessed the results. The board dried up. Now what do we have? Facebook? Myspace? An AIM conversation here and there? Phooey. None of them can compare to a community of discussion like we once had here.
So why not give it another shot? All the morons who ruined it before are gone. What's stopping us from starting up the posts again? The only thing I can think of is Joe and his lack of internet access . . . but I could hook him up with some equipment.
What do you think?
